TLDR

InnovaBuzz with Dr Jurgen Strauss is about human-centred marketing and the connections that hold a business together. I came on to talk about turning a skillset into a business that lasts. It comes down to solving the right problem, keeping your offer tight, and building trust before you ever ask for the sale.

Solve the problem people have now

The businesses that last are the ones that adapt. Watch what people need right now and shape your offer around that problem. Then narrow it. A tight offer means you can say no to work that does not fit, and saying no is a skill most owners never build. When your offer is clear and aimed at one problem, the whole business gets easier to run and easier to sell.

Good systems and processes hold all of this together. They are boring, and they are the reason clients stay.

Connection is the long game

People can see through advertising. The moment you try to push them into a sale, they feel it, no matter how you dress it up. So I flip it. I try to be a resource, be helpful, be handy, be trusted. I put out things that help without expecting anything back, and it is surprising what comes back anyway. When you have already wowed someone in a simple message or a short video, the sale is not a fight. You are a good match and they already trust you, so yes is easy.

Video is a big part of this for me. It builds a personal connection and it sets you apart, because most people will not do it. Building honest relationships is the thing that keeps a business alive year after year.

Sell the result, not the task

Ideas and content are close to a commodity now. Everyone has a take. So your content has to stand out and speak to your people, not just exist. And when you sell, sell the vision. Sell the result, not the task. Sell the benefit, not the feature.

Start with the person you are selling to. What is a win for them, and what is a loss? What does a perfect experience look like in their day to day? Then package yourself as the thing that creates that result, not just someone who does the job. I go deeper on the client and pricing side of this on the Hailey Rowe podcast and the Business Mastermind podcast.
