I quit a job I could not stand with no plan and no degree to fall back on. What came after was years of figuring it out, including a stretch that got close to bankruptcy.

The part where it nearly fell apart

I spent thirteen years running a Google Ads agency. From the outside it looked fine. On the inside I was close to burnout, the business was shrinking, and I was doing more work for less money than ever.

The hard truth was that I had built something that depended entirely on me grinding. When that runs out, so does the business. I had to stop and rethink the whole thing instead of just working harder.

How I rebuilt

The turnaround came down to three things. I fixed my pricing, because I had been undercharging by about half while doing more work than I was paid for. I tightened my process so the work was repeatable instead of reinvented every time. And I got picky about client fit, because the wrong clients drain you faster than anything.

Underneath all of it was a belief problem. Belief comes before price. Once I believed my work was worth charging for, the pricing and the boundaries followed.
